HYDERABAD: A 21-year-old girl committed suicide by consuming hair dye on Saturday at King Koti after a female friend avoided her.
Narayanguda police said that two girls- Namratha and Sridevi- were good friends as they were together pursuing B.Com in a private college by residing at a private hostel in Narayanguda. They both used to share the same room for some months before Namratha chooses to leave the hostel due to some alleged difference with Sridevi.

Ever since Namratha moved out, Sridevi has been under depression as she wanted to be in the company of Namratha.
Due to the alleged harassment of Sridevi, Namratha stayed at her native place Sircilla for some time.
It was two days ago when Namratha came to Hyderabad to write her exam, Sridevi reached the examination centre in Narayanguda and allegedly forced Namratha to come to her hostel. Sridevi locked up Namratha at her hostel room for about two hours and expressed her desire to be in her company and requested Namratha to remain in her room.
"Somehow, Namratha escaped and later lodged a complaint in Narayanguda police station against Sridevi for restraining and harassment. Namratha feared that since she was supposed to write a few more exams in the next few days, requested the police to control Sridevi," police said.

It was on Saturday, Sridevi with a male friend, Sai Kumar, again approached Namratha, who left the place after a brief conversation by declining to stay with Sridevi. Immediately, Sridevi who was carrying hair dye liquid consumed it. Sai Kumar admitted Sridevi to King Koti hospital from where she was shifted to Apollo hospital, Hyderguda. She died at around 7.30pm on Saturday.
