England vs Pakistan 5th ODI highlights:Â Once again England outclassed Pakistan beating them by 54 runs in the fifth ODI. Chasing a target of 351, Pakistan lost three quick wickets. Chris Woakes bowled two maiden overs back-to-back to push Pakistan on back foot straight away. But in-form Babar Azam and skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed steadied the ship sharing a partnership of 146 runs for the fourth wicket. Both Babar and Sarfaraz lost their wicket to excellent fielding. Pakistan’s lower middle order tried to put up a fight but the required run rate kept climbing. Woakes returned to the attack and got his third ODI fifer as Pakistan bundled out for 297 with 19 balls to go.
Earlier Pakistan bowlers were taken to the cleaners by England’s top order. The hosts lost wickets at regular intervals but maintained pressure almost throughout the innings. Joe Root and Eoin Morgan piled on runs in middle overs and completed their respective half-centuries. At one point, England looked like they would score 400 but Imad Wasim’s double blow helped his team restrict them to 351.
Pakistan have a lot to ponder upon before the World Cup 2019. There might be a few changes in their World Cup squad after their dismal show against tournament favourites.

At one point England looked like setting a target in excess of 400 but Pakistan bowlers got wickets in regular intervals. The mini batting collapse slowed down the run rate in the middle overs. It is often said that England bat really deep. The partnership between David Willey and Tom Curran proved as the latter came up with an entertaining cameo for the Leeds crowd. England post a daunting total of 351 for 9 in 50 overs. Even though the pitch has nothing to offer to the fast bowlers, the runchase is not expected to be an easy one for the visitors.

The wicket of Vince did not slow down do the trick for Pakistan. The story of the series is on repeat so far. Bairstow and Root are making the most of the first powerplay. Fast bowlers have lacked consistency and English batsmen have capitalised on it. Imad Wasim did produce an outside edge off Root's bat but Sarfaraz fails to get his glove on it. ENG 95/1 in 10 overs

Englan are off to a blazing start once again. The pitch does not have much to offer for Pakistan bowlers. Surprisingly, James Vince is the one who has done the bulk of the scoring. The fielding has been sloppy and Sarfaraz has introduced the third bowler already.
