Hyderabad: Sacked security guard kills man in mix-up

Hyderabad: A 69-year-old man killed another man over a misconception.

The West Marredpally police have registered a case under Section 302 of the IPC, and further investigation is underway.

According to the police, the accused Suri Babu was working as a security guard at the LBR apartment complex, Picket road, Marredpally, until he was sacked 10 days ago.

Reportedly, the accused was under the impression that the deceased Repaka Raju was the reason for him losing his job.

Inspector of West Marredpally said, “Due to a misconception over him getting fired, the accused Suri Babu, came to building on Friday night where Raju used to stay. Suri went to Raju’s room and after sometime people rushed to Raju’s room hearing him scream. They found Raju in a pool of blood and the accused Babu holding a wooden stick with blood stains on it. Raju was rushed to the Gandhi Hospital. Unfortunately, however, Raju succumbed during treatment on Sunday to the head injury that he had sustained in the incident.”
