Bayley emerged as the winner of a highly entertaining women's Money in the Bank Ladder Match to kick off WWE's first post-WrestleMania pay-per-view. The match, while excellent, followed a familiar formula of the top athletes—in Naomi and Ember Moon—shining with the matches most impressive spots before WWE crowned a rare Money in the Bank winner of Latina descent.

Bayley cut an interesting post-match promo where Sasha was mentioned multiple times, once by broadcaster Charly Caruso and again by Bayley herself. During the promo, Bayley emphatically proclaimed herself Ms. Money in the Bank coming out of her short-lived Women's Tag Team Championship reign. With Banks currently sitting out of her contract due to creative differences, it'll be interesting to see if these sudden mentions of Banks lead to a WWE return for the reportedly disgruntled Boss.

The women's Money in the Bank Ladder Match offered a wide-open field with Mandy Rose emerging as the favorite per early odds if nothing else because, well, this is WWE's Money in the Bank and Mandy Rose—like previous winners Alexa Bliss and Carmella—is blonde and white.

With Becky Lynch set to defend both the Raw and SmackDown Women's Championships as part of her intriguing Becky Two Belts storyline, all eyes will be on Bayley. Bayley is all but a lock to seize an opportunity by pouncing on a fatigued Lynch following two potentially back-to-back world title defenses. Doing so, however, would mean a first-time heel turn for the consummate babyface, who tried to do just that last year to no avail.

Though Lynch is arguably WWE's biggest full-time star, representing both flagship brands as champion has created a logjam in the women's division, limiting opportunities for many WWE Superstars in a women's division still trying to fill the major void left by Ronda Rousey.

As a potential heel world champion, Bayley may finally begin to live up to her once-massive potential as a singles competitor after hitting many roadblocks coming out of NXT.
