Delhi Police SI beaten to death by gangsters in Vivek Vihar

NEW DELHI: A Delhi Police sub inspector was chased and then beaten to death by gangsters following an argument at a police picket set up to nab bootleggers near Vivek Vihar in east Delhi on Sunday night.
The cop, SI Rajkumar was off duty and had gone for a walk after dinner when he saw the criminals at the picket arguing with the cops. Rajkumar took out his phone and started recording the video of this when one of the gangsters spotted him and started hurling abuses.When Rajkumar warned him, he started thrashing him.
In order to save himself, he ran into a house but the criminals chased and caught him. He was bludgeoned to death after this.
DCP (Shahdara) Meghna Yadav said that a case under section of murder has been registered and one of the criminals was caught from the area.
