Ballia village boycotts poll, demands road

Raising slogan ‘Road nahi to vote nahi (No Road, No Vote)’, residents of Chhotaki Belahari village of Ballia district, a part of Salempur parliamentary constituency, boycotted polling on Sunday.

Raising slogan ‘Road nahi to vote nahi (No Road, No Vote)’, residents of Chhotaki Belahari village of Ballia district, a part of Salempur parliamentary constituency, boycotted polling on Sunday.
Protesting against the pathetic condition of the village road, the angry villagers said that they would not go for polling till their demand of road is not met.
Gram pradhan Sanjeev Singh said the villagers had informed the officials and authorities about the boycott around two weeks ago.

After no response or assurance, the villagers decided to boycott polling.
