Shilpa Shetty Kundra says she is happy with her Bollywood journey
With one of the fittest bods in Bollywood, Shilpa Shetty Kundra is not only known for her svelte figure but also chic sense of style. The mother-of-one, who has been in the film industry for almost three decades, recently revealed that although she faced several roadblocks, she never gave up. After a successful debut in ‘Baazigar’ in the early 90s, Shilpa starred in dozens of films over the years, and while some did well, many failed at the box office.
In fact, the actress revealed that there was a time when some producers would remove her from their projects without even giving her any reason, leaving her wondering what she did wrong.
Years ago, Shilpa was also in the news for being subjected to public bullying and racism on international reality TV game show ‘Big Brother’, which she eventually went on to win. The actress said that being a part of the entertainment world was never on the agenda, rather she was supposed to graduate and work with her father. By chance she participated in a fashion show, met a photographer who clicked her pictures and was soon offered her first film.
Looking back at her journey, Shilpa said that although she witnessed success early in her career, she found it difficult to be in front of the camera and struggled after her films started failing. She admitted that despite failure, she believed in herself and kept trying, eventually entering ‘Big Brother’, after which she once again reinvented herself. Revealing that she loved every minute of her journey, Shilpa said it played a big role in shaping the person she has become today.
