British boy, four, is officially crowned world's youngest DJ after performing a one-hour house music set at Hong Kong nightclub

A talented four-year-old has been officially recognised as the world's youngest DJ after performing a set in a top nightclub.

Little Archie Norbury achieved the feat at the age of four years and 130 days by playing an unassisted one-hour set of classic house music at Hong Kong nightclub Bungalow.

Archie, who performs under the name DJ Archie, takes the by Guinness World Records title from youngster DJ Arch Junior, from South Africa, who was five years and 38 days when he set the previous record in 2017.

The new world record has just been confirmed by Guinness World Records, after Archie played his set at the end of March.

The youngster, whose parents are from Berkshire, was born in Dubai and his family moved to Hong Kong, in southern China, a year-and-a-half ago.

He has been DJing since he was just two-years-old after catching the bug from his father, John Norbury, who says he discovered Archie's talent by chance.

John said he caught Archie playing with his own DJ equipment and then realised the youngster was playing two songs together in time.

Archie has played at festivals including Boomtown in Hampshire and Clockenflap in Hong Kong.

He has also performed alongside some top names, including garage vocalist MC Neat and jungle duo the Ragga Twins, but says his favourite DJ is still 'Daddy'.

Archie told the South China Morning Post that his favourite type of music is drum and bass and at the moment he wants to be a professional DJ when he is older. 

The youngster has his own social media channels on Facebook, Instagram and YouTube which features videos of him playing dance music including drum 'n' bass, house, rave and hardcore.

Last year, Archie played a set on ITV's This Morning where he attracted the gushing admiration of host Holly Willoughby.

Mother-of-three Holly, 38, said watching Archie made her want another baby, adding: 'I really want one that does that!'.
