Birmingham got its first inflatable theme park last summer.

And now Inflata Nation has announced it plans to open a second one in West Bromwich .

Bosses say there will be slides, ball pits, climbing walls, gladiator podiums, obstacle races and balance challenges - but they are also promising features not seen in any of their other sites.

It's being dubbed a 'Super Slide' arena because it will boast the most slides out of any Inflata venue.

It will also boast a ‘Giant Drop’ slide, which catapults people off a ramp and onto an air cushion below.

The new bouncy castle arena will be at Astle Retail Park, off Cronehill Linksway.

"We’re opening a number of new Inflata Nation sites this year, and we’re absolutely delighted to be arriving in West Bromwich this summer," said founder Matt Ball.

“Astle Retail Park is conveniently located for anyone in the town and we’ve got a huge amount of space to work with - around 30,000 square feet.

“That means we can cram the area with our trademark, wall-to-wall inflatables."

He added: “And we’re also keen to let guests know that EVERYONE is welcome - whether your a toddler or you’re enjoying your retirement.

“We’ll also have a dedicated under four’s area with a slide and ball pool.”

The new Inflata Nation West Bromwich centre is due to open its doors at the end of June ahead of the school holidays .

The arena will also be looking to hire around 10 full and part time members of staff - details of which will also be announced shortly.

For Matt and partner Michelle Ball, owners of Manchester-based Inflata Nation, it's the eighth site they will have established in less than 18 months.

Their first opened in Manchester in October 2017, followed bt centres in Runcorn in Cheshire, Birmingham, Beverley in East Yorks, and Glasgow.

A sixth site opened in North Shields in April while another venue - as yet to be announced - is also due to launch in August.

Michelle says: “We love to see people of all ages having great fun and enjoying themselves in our centres, and we get tremendous satisfaction opening in new locations.

“We are strongly represented in the north of England and in Scotland, and now we’re expanding rapidly in the Midlands."

“Our centres are based on the theme of extreme bounce fun but each is slightly different in design, showing that Inflata Nation is constantly looking to evolve and entertain in new ways.

“We want to appeal to everyone, be it mums and dads bringing their kids, or adults who just want to let their hair down in a friendly and safe environment.”

Colin Quinton, Centre Manager of Astle Park, said: "We are really looking forward to Inflata Nation becoming part of Astle Park, this will be a real attraction great fun for the kids of all ages and just in time for the school holidays.

"Come down and try it out and have some family fun."

As well as a central bouncing zone, the leisure attraction will offer fitness classes, disability-friendly sessions, grown-ups only sessions, and Inflata Tots sessions for pre-schoolers.

For those who want to relax while others play, the centre’s Café Nation will boast free customer Wi-Fi, drinks, including speciality coffees, and an extensive home-made food menu.

Opening times are to be confirmed but play is likely to be from noon to 9pm weekdays, with the last session starting at 8pm, and from 9am to 9pm on weekends, with the same last session time.

During school holidays, the centre is expected to open at 10am weekdays.

Facilities can also be booked for children’s and adults’ parties, corporate events, schools, stag and hen parties and exclusive events.

The cost at other Inflata Nation sites is £5.95 for under 4s, and £9.95 for anyone else. Spectators go free.

That price is likely to be repeated at the West Bromwich centre.
