SPOILER ALERT: Spoilers for Game Of Thrones season 8 ahead…

While everyone is still reeling over the final ever episode of Game of Thrones, we are more shocked by this revelation regarding the eighth season's third episode.

'The Long Night' featured nearly all of the show's still alive characters come together to fight against the Night King and his re-animated armies in the Battle of Winterfell, but it turns out our heroes got some extra help from a pair of chart-topping popstars.

As revealed on her Instagram, Sophie Ellis-Bextor and her husband Richard Jones were involved in defending the realm from the dead.

She wrote: "We fought the white walkers!! When @gameofthrones was filming the final season, @richardjonesface and I went to be extras. It was SO FUN. You couldn’t see us on the telly in the battle of episode 3, but I can assure you we gave it our all.

"R was very jealous of my armour but then again, he had dragon glass. Here’s to the northern army! Sad to see GOT finish but it’s been fun seeing the epic tale unfold."

As part of pop/rock band The Feeling, Richard scored a number one album with Join With Us in 2008. Sophie topped the charts with the eternally brilliant 'Groovejet (If This Ain't Love)' in 2000, after a similarly epic and bloody battle with Victoria Beckham's 'Out of Your Mind'.

Since then, she's released countless electropop gems, did very well on Strictly Come Dancing and practically invented ASMR with her CBeebies bedtime story.
