Sakshi Agrawal, seen in small roles in films like Rajini’s Kaala and Ajith’s Viswasam, has finally bagged a lead heroine film to be directed by Anees of Thirumanam Ennum Nikkah fame. Sakshi is equally thrilled about her film with GV Prakash in Ezhil’s direction and Cinderella where she shares screen space with Raai Laxmi.
She speaks to DC. “I play one of the leads in GV Prakash film. Since I am trained in theatre, I did the audition easily. And it was cinematographer UK Senthilkumar who was there during audio who told Ezhil sir that I am the perfect choice for the rural belle role,” says Sakshi.
Elaborating, she says, “I am essaying a girl from Tirunelveli and speak their dialect. I did learnt the specific Nellai Tamil. It was an amazing experience”
On Cinderella she says, “I share screen space with Raai Lakshmi in a crucial role in the fantasy horror thriller. This film will be an important one in my career”. Shakshi is also happy that she has bagged a meaty lead heroine in Anees’s direction.
