This is the moment a former Rapid Bucharest star is stopped for a breathalyser test but is so drunk he stumbles backwards and falls to the ground in a heap after blowing into the machine.

The scenes were recorded by an onlooker after former Rapid Bucharest striker Andrei Cretu was stopped by police on the Bucharest - Ploiesti motorway in Romania.

In the video, the 31-year-old, who is currently without a club, can be seen blowing into a breathalyser being held by a police officer on the side of the motorway.

Once the striker finishes giving the sample he stumbles backwards for a step before falling straight back on the tarmac.

Cretu can be seen lying on the ground face-up as the police officers runs to see he is okay, lightly touching his face.

Cretu remains lying down for a second or two before getting to his feet and following the officer after another cop suggests taking Cretu to the hospital to have his blood alcohol content taken.
