Ryan to Do CNN Town Hall June 2

ATLANTA – U.S. Rep. Tim Ryan will participate in a nationally televised town hall June 2 on CNN, Ryan’s presidential campaign announced Monday.

CNN anchor Poppy Harlow will serve as moderator of the forum, which will be broadcast at 7 p.m. This will be Ryan’s first nationally televised town hall and his first visit to the state of Georgia since announcing in April that he would seek the Democratic nomination for president in the 2020 election.

In the statement, Michael Zetts, communications director for Tim Ryan for America, said Ryan, D-13 Ohio,  looks forward to directly responding to voters’ questions and making the case for his candidacy.

“Ryan will discuss the challenges America faces and the opportunities that lay ahead,” he continued. “Ryan knows the insecurity that comes from the 40-year collapse of the old economy and he knows that we must bring workers to the table to modernize our economy, guarantee affordable health care, fix our broken education system, and not just reduce climate change – but reverse it.”
