The grandeur of Asia's finest arts and culture takes centre stage at the Mall Asian Festival 2019, which is running in the Grand Hall of The Mall Bangkapi, Lat Phrao Road, until Friday.

Held with the support of many embassies under the theme "The Charming Attractions Of Magical Asia", the event features a selection of sumptuous dishes from Asia's top restaurants, quality products and a variety of arts and culture phenomenon from different countries across Asia.

Visitors will have a rare opportunity to try egg coffee, a traditional recipe of Shin Ca Phe shop from Vietnam; Hawker Chan's soy sauce chicken, one of the most famous street foods with a Michelin star from Singapore; Northern Indian cuisine from the Indian Food restaurant; bak kut teh, a pork rib dish by Seng Huat Bak Kut Teh from Malaysia; and the original pho recipe (Vietnamese noodle soup) by Le Dalat restaurant.

Set to resemble the hydrangeas field in Da Lat, one of the major landmarks of Vietnam, the festival also presents a Korean drum dance today, a Laotian folk dance tomorrow, a Thai-Muslim folk play on May 23, and a Vietnamese hat dance on May 24. They will be staged three times a day starting at noon.

Among the unique and rare items imported especially for this event are Japara perfume made from the ancient Egyptian process, Dakka Kadima or Syrian soap, said to be originated from the first soap in the world, and Turkish accessories and talismans.

The festival will move to The Mall Bangkae, Phetkasem Road, from June 21-26.
