A sequel to hit movie Braveheart is among a list of Scottish-themed movies to premiere at the Edinburgh International Film Festival .

The movie entitled, Robert the Bruce, will see Angus Macfadyen reprise his role as the King of Scots.

Macfadyen's film continues years after the story of his character was last seen in the 1995 classic, alongside Mel Gibson's William Wallace.

It's the latest feature film about the Scottish king's life and follows Netflix 's Outlaw King in which Chris Pine starred as the monarch.
