Pune: Cops book trio from Aurangabad for raping, molesting woman

PUNE: The Pune rural police booked three men, all residents of Aurangabad, for raping and molesting a 27-year-old woman from Chakan area in November and December, 2018 after claiming that her mother was not keeping well.
The suspects raped her at different hotels and lodges in Khandala, Pimpri Chinchwad and Aurangabad after offering her cold drink laced with sedatives, police said.
Chakan police said that the woman and the three men are known to each other and they issued threats of dire consequences to the woman after sexually abusing her.
Police said that the woman, who is married and has two kids, stays in Chakan area. She gathered all her courage on Saturday and approached police after the men again started demanding sexual favours.
Police said that one of the men is her relative and two others are his friends. All are residents of Aurangabad and the woman used to stay in Aurangabad before her marriage. The men came to her Chakan residence in November and claimed that her mother was ill.
The woman boarded the car, which the suspects were travelling, to see her mother. However, on their way to Aurangabad, the suspects offered her cold drink laced with sedatives and raped her in a hotel located in Aurangabad. Following this, the suspects started regularly demanding the sexual favours and took her to different places. The other two suspects molested her.
