She is the daughter of senior politician & former cabinet minister Hari Shankar Tiwari of Uttar Pradesh and sister of ex-MP Bhishma Shankar alias Kushal Tiwari and Vinay Shankar Tiwari, who is the sitting MLA from Chillupar, Gorakhpur. At the same time Kamini Dube is also the Daughter-in-law of ex MLC Ghanshyam Dube, who was one of the closest associates of Shiv Sena supremo Balasaheb Thackeray & Ex CM of Maharashtra Manohar Joshi. We have to know the fact that Ghanshyam Dube was the First North Indian Politician who became MLC from the Shiv Sena.
Kamini Dube along with Bombay Talkies and filmmaker Aazaad has created the mega movie Rashtraputra (Son of India) for the patriotic generations across the globe.
From 1934 -1955 the iconic company took Indian Cinema to dominant pinnacle under the command of Pillar of Indian Cinema Rajnarayan Dube. It has Produced 115 evergreen films like Achhut Kannya, Mahal, Kangan, Jhoola, Kismet and many more, Launched over 280 legends like Ashok Kumar, Dilip Kumar, Raj Kapoor, Madhubala, Lata Mangeshkar, Satyajit Ray, Bimal Roy, Kishore Kumar and many more, Financed over 700 films, constructed 400 cinema halls across the nation and promoted many films produced by outside producers other than Bombay Talkies for the sake of holistic growth and grandeur of the cinematic art.

Rajnarayan Dube founded the Legendary Film Company, THE BOMBAY TALKIES STUDIOS along with its associate companies Bombay Talkies Laboratories and Bombay Talkies Pictures as individual proprietorship companies. At the same time, to add more people he established the first public limited film company of India, The Bombay Talkies Limited (ltd.), in June 1934, although all companies were commonly known as Bombay Talkies. As Himanshu Rai and Devika Rani were actors, they were given some shares of the company as their remuneration. Some films were produced under the banner of The Bombay Talkies Limited also, but most of the films were produced under THE BOMBAY TALKIES STUDIOS, and Bombay Talkies Pictures. THE BOMBAY TALKIES STUDIOS also successfully Distributed, Processed and Promoted films of other producers and banners other than their own films. All the films were financed by Rajnarayan Dube in his individual capacity as the owner of his proprietorship finance company Dube Industries Estd 1929.
Shri. Rajnarayan Dube had a big vision for Indian Cinema. He wanted Indian film making to be a respectable profession. He thus stipulated that Bombay Talkies would only hire graduates. He hoped this move would legitimize the Indian film industry of the thirties and forties, and it certainly did. Besides this, Rajnarayan Dube also wanted the Indian film industry to be inclusive of Indians from all states and sectors of life. Even though the movie company worked with European technicians, Rajnarayan Dube would bring on Indian technicians and make sure that they learnt the art of movie making. He also brought a lot of Indian writers on-board so that movies could have an Indian cultural sensitivity and thus could appeal to a large amount of people. This move gave rise to a whole new Indian profession, movie making.
Shri. Rajnarayan Dube single-handedly architected the business angle of the entire industry which was yet to come. He supported various new theatres such as BN Sircar’s New Theatres in Calcutta, V Shantaram’s Prabhat Pictures, Homi Wadia’s Wadia Movietone, Sohrab Modi’s Minerva Movietone, LV Prasad’s Prasad Labs and Pictures (Prasad was an ex-technician from Bombay Talkies), SM Vasan’s Gemini Pictures and Mehboob Khan’s theatres, Tarachand Barjatya’s Rajshri Productions (Barjatya served as a distribution manager for Bombay Talkies for the period of seven years). Rajnarayan Dube financed these fledgling companies and made them stronger. In essence, he builds the entire movie ecosystem in the country. Everyone whom Shri. Dube supported went on to build a name for themselves in the industry.
Many film-makers followed Rajnarayan Dube as a fortune for them, like Prakash Mehra, one of the legendary film makers of India who got the first chance to direct a movie named, Haseena Maan Jayegi, starred Shashi Kapoor. The film got stuck because of lack of budget. Later, popular actor Shashi Kapoor advised him to acquaint with Mr. Rajnarayan Dube; "He is the person who will appreciate your talent and help you out from the issue". Rajnarayan Dube said yes to him and the film got triumphed magnificently. The same incident happened with Prakash Mehra in the film Samadhi which starred Dharmendra. Rajnarayan Dube helped him and got huge applaud. Because of such incidents, Prakash Mehra followed Rajnarayan Dube as a deity and he was always thankful to him. Then he gave back to back hits like Zanjeer, Khun Pasina, Heera Pheri with the help of Rajnarayan Dube. After his establishment he didn't face financial trouble but still he used to take one hundred and one rupees as a goodwill from Rajnarayan Dube for his later hits like Muqaddar Ka Sikandar, Lawarees, Jadugar and many more.
The Kali Ghat in the city of Calcutta saw the birth of Rajnarayan Dube in the year 1910 on 10th October. He was alumnus of the first oldest modern educational institution in Asia, Hindu School Kolkata, which was founded by Raja Rammohan Roy, David Hare and others in 20 January 1817. Rajnarayan Dube went on to become what people called him Pillar of Indian Cinema. Legendary Rajnarayan Dube is the son of Indian business tycoon, Seth Badriprasad Dube who financed the First Talkie Movie of India, Alam Ara in 1931. Dube’s grandfather Brahmadev Dube was the prestigious wrestler in that era and the closest associate of greatest revolutionary Chapekar Brothers. They were known for the assassination of W. C. Rand, the British plague commissioner of Pune, therefore all three brothers were found guilty and British government hanged them.
Recently in an event, Mr. Chandra Shekhar Pusalkar Phalke, grandson of the father of Indian Cinema Dada Saheb Phalke said, “With the establishment and work culture of Bombay Talkies, Rajnarayan Dube has played a great historic role in nurturing and developing Indian film industry. He gave it the form of an organized industry and made it to be accepted as a respectful form of art by the civilized society.” He further added, “Like Dada Saheb Phalke, Rajnarayan Dube also faced all kinds of conflicts and the result of his immense struggle is visible like a World Heritage Site in the form of Bombay Talkies today. He strongly affirmed, If Mr. Rajnarayan Dube was not there, there would be no Himanshu Rai, neither Devika Rani nor there would be Bombay Talkies.”
63 years have passed when the Bombay Talkies ruled the hearts of cine lovers and provided the industry status to the filmmaking activities in India. Now after grand revival, the legendary film company Bombay Talkies is going to repeat its past, glory, success and contribution to maintain its incomparable, great and timeless legacy of creating socially relevant, thought provoking, entertaining mainstream movies for the enlightened global audience of 21st Century by Girish Ghanshyam Dube, the chairman of Bombay Talkies & Dube Group of Industries. The incomplete dream of Shri Rajnarayan Dube was to establish Bombay Talkies Music Company which got transformed into reality by Girish Ghanshyam Dube. A golden chapter of Music got started with super success of the film Rashtraputra to continue the great history and legacy of Bombay Talkies. Bombay Talkies is marching ahead with great skill, talent, conviction, creativity and credibility to write a new chapter of history on the silver screen.
