A former kickboxing champion claims her ex is 'living a life of luxury' jetting around the world with his new fiance despite leaving her up to her eyeballs in his debts.

Australian Chantel Green says the father of her two children has declared bankruptcy, leaving her with a bill for land the couple owned that has now been seized by the bank in the wake of their ugly split.

The Western Australian mum told A Current Affair she is being chased for the $212,000 (£115,00) debt while her ex David Jones's new fiance posts holiday snaps of the pair relaxing in exotic locations.

A second ex who wished to remain anonymous also claimed the Canadian had left her with sizeable debt.

Mr Jones, a fly-in, fly-out oil rig worker in Australia, is said to have earned $319,000 (£173,000) last year.

His ex said she and her new girlfriend had been monitoring his socialite fiance Hilda's frequent Instagram travel posts, and were stunned to see photos capturing the pair gallivanting around Florence accompanied by a professional photographer.

However when a Current Affair confronted Mr Jones, he claimed the couple's trip to Italy was done on a "budget" and did not affect his bankrupt status.

"That whole budget for that holiday wasn't enough to worry about changing my bankruptcy, we are talking about hundreds of thousands of dollars plus, not a $5000 (£3,000) getaway," he told the programme.

"You got to be realistic and following Instagram, anybody’s lifestyle on Instagram you'd be a fool to think that's how people live their life."

He also claimed to have financially assisted Ms Green and the kids since the separation, and criticised her Muay Thai boxing gym business which he claimed made her no income, suggesting she get "rid of it".

Chantel and her new partner Rihanna now care for the couple's two children.

The mum claimed Mr Jones had fled his financial obligations, and vowed to fight to hold on to her training gym business.

"He's just decided not to pay it (the mortgage) and live a life of luxury, like a rock star on a high income, spend up big, get loans and credit cards left, right and centre and let mortgage payments slip behind to the point where the bank took the land, unbeknownst to me."
