Canada singer-songwriter Chantal Kreviazuk will headline a free concert June 5 at Vancouver’s Jack Poole Plaza as part of the Women Deliver 2019 conference.
Kreviazuk, a June-award winning and multi-platinum artist, will be joined by a diverse list of musical acts including Fionn, Old Soul Rebel, Kimmortal, and Laydy Jams.
Women Deliver 2019, which takes place June 3-6 at the Vancouver Convention Centre, calls itself the world’s largest gathering on gender equality and the health, rights, and wellbeing of girls and women.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his wife Sophie Gregoire Trudeau are among this year’s speakers.
The concert with Kreviazuk is part of the event’s Culture Night presented by UN Women and E.U.
“Culture Night will be both a rousing block party where our international delegates and Vancouverites can mix and mingle, and also an important chance for cross-cultural sharing and dialogue on gender equality,” said Katja Iversen, President/CEO of Women Deliver. “We are excited to celebrate with Canada, one of the countries in the world that steps up for girls and women, as well as discusses the progress we all still need to make.”
The free event runs from 5:30 – 9:30 p.m.
