Lucknow’s landscape looks beautiful on screen: Jimmy Sheirgill

'Tanu Weds Manu (TWM)' fame actor Jimmy Sheirgill was in the city some time back to enjoy a qawwali in the city. Jimmy talked about his upcoming movie Family of Thakurganj which he shot extensively in Lucknow. He said the task of shooting a film in Lucknow has become easy over the years, and it has fetched many filmmakers to visit the city. "Lucknow has something in it, I think that convenience which is provided to the outsiders by the people is the best thing, and the support from the people is enormous.People keep coming back to the city again and again, whether they are provided with a subsidy or not. There was a time when shooting in Lucknow was very tough especially on roads, but now we see a lot of movies being shot here because filmmakers feel comfortable shooting here. There is a nice set-up in terms of production and everything. There has been a drastic change, and I know because I’ve been visiting this city for many years. Besides that the city has a beautiful landscape which when captured on screen, looks very nice," says Jimmy. The Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster actor has shot several films in the city including the TWM franchise, 'Bullett Raja', 'Zainab' and 'Family of Thakurganj', among others. The actor has also spent his initial years schooling in Lucknow.
"I have some wonderful memories of Lucknow. I have spent some of the best times of my life here whether it is while studying here as a kid or while shooting in the city for various films. Shayad isliye I love coming back to this city again and again," he said.
