Nadia Essex has opened up about a terrifying ordeal in which a victim of a knife wielding gang allegedly jumped in her Uber.

The former Celebs Go Dating coach, 37, told how she initially thought she was going to be attacked when he got in the car, before realising he was in need of her help.

She then told the Uber to drive off as quickly as possible, whisking the 23-year-old to safety.

Recalling the moment to her 74,900 Twitter followers, Nadia wrote: "A lad jumped in my uber cause boys were chasing him with a knife.

"They didn’t know him, didn’t want to rob him just were walking round fulham waiting to attack random ppl. Police picked up the boys but no knife found so nothing will be done. Boy is safe but terrified. Scary world."

She went on to warn fans never to "engage" or "hesitate" if they felt threatened, and instead to "run like mad".

"I was scared he was trying to attack me when he jumped in the car when we were at the lights but I knew by his eyes he was in trouble so told the driver to go go go to get him out of the area and to safety," she added.

"He was 23. Hyperventilating in the car knowing he was moments from death.

"It’s his birthday on Saturday and he was worried his poor mum could have lost her son before his birthday.

"Such a brave boy. Will be scarred for life. I’ll never forget the pure Terror on his face.(sic)"

As Nadia shared the story she was flooded with comments from gob-smacked followers.

"Omg that's horrific," one wrote, while another added: "Trying hard to force back the tears. But failed. That’s horrific and truly heartbreaking. I’m glad he is safe."

A third echoed many in praising the TV star: "Well done Nadia xx You did a great thing xx," they wrote.

Nadia also shared a text message from the victim, in which he told her he didn't know where he would be without her.

Last year, Nadia shockingly left Celebs Go Dating mid-way through filming after she was allegedly caught trolling Eden Blackman under various alias names on Twitter.

The dating coach has since revealed she is suing her former co-star Eden Blackman and E4's show producers Lime Pictures for gender-based discrimination, harassment and victimisation.

In an employment tribunal Nadia said that Blackman, 51, "felt he was entitled" to have sex with young women despite already being in a relationship.

Nadia claims that she had been warned by five different women about his "dangerous" behaviour and that he also threatened to "f***ing destroy her".

However, Blackman strenuously denies engaging in physical, mental and sexual inappropriate behaviour on the show.

He said: “These allegations are extremely hurtful and damaging. I maintain that these allegations are completely false.”
