BJP's Bandi Sanjay Kumar leads from Karimnagar seat

Counting of votes in the Karimnagar Lok Sabha constituency is nearing an end, and as per trends, BJP candidate Bandi Sanjay Kumar is leading form the seat.
 
Vinod Kumar Boianapalli of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) is the sitting MP from this seat.
 
In the 2014 Lok Sabha election, Vinod Kumar had dethroned Ponnam Prabhakar of Congress by receiving 44.90 per cent of the vote share.
 
Vinod Kumar Boianapalli of TRS, Ponnam Prabhaker of Congress and Sanjay Kumar Bandi of BJP are the key candidates from the seat.
 
In 2009, Ponnam Prabhakar had received 32.14 per cent votes, whereas Vinod Kumar won 27.06 per cent of votes. TRS turned its 2009's failure into victory in 2014.
 
The current chief minister of Telangana, K Chandrashekar Rao represented the seat thrice after establishing Telugu Rashtra Samithi.
 
Karimnagar Lok Sabha constituency went to polls on April 11 and recorded a polling percentage of 68.
