Visakhapatnam Constituency Election Result: YSRCP's MVV Satyanarayana wins Visakhapatnam LS seat

VISAKHAPATNAM: Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party's MVV Satyanarayana defeated his close rival Telugu Desam's Bharat Mathukumill to win Visakhapatnam Lok Sabha seat by a margin of 4414 votes, according to the Election Commission's website.
Overall, BJP won 303 seats while the Congress party has been declared victorious on 52 seats. The Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party has won 22 seats while TDP has been declared victorious on 3 seats.
Visakhapatnam Lok Sabha Constituency
Visakhapatnam Lok Sabha constituency used to be a stronghold of Congress where the party won nine times, the last of which was in 2009.
In 2014, the Telugu Desam which then had an alliance with BJP, won the seat with TDP's leader Kambhampati Hari Babu defeating YS Vijayamma of the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP).
