SHIMLA: BJP is heading towards a clean sweep in Himachal Pradesh with the initial trend showing its candidates leading on all four seats by over 1.5 lakh to 2 lakh votes on all four seats of Hamirpur, Kangra, Mandi and Shimla. This will be the second time when BJP will sweep the state. Around 8% increase in Lok Sabha polling this time had left many surprised but with counting on now, it is becoming clear that the people of the state have voted in favour of BJP.
BJP candidate from Hamirpur, Anurag Thakur is leading by over 2,01,699 votes from his nearest rival Ram Lal Thakur of Congress.
Anurag Thakur has won last three consecutive elections from here, while Ram Lal Thakur in the past has lost three elections from here.
