The Ethereum Foundation plans to spend $30 million on key projects within the ethereum ecosystem over the next 12 months.
This budget is insulated against downward ETH price movement.
In an announcement on its blog, the Foundation said resources are allocated with priorities on "building the Ethereum of tomorrow, supporting the Ethereum of today, and Developer Growth & Awareness".
$19 million has been earmarked over next 12 months for Building the Ethereum of tomorrow.
"Critical work is underway across the ecosystem on active engineering projects like ETH 2.0, and on more long-term investments like growing the academic community's involvement in Ethereum technology", the Ethereum Foundation said.
$8 million is earmarked for supporting the Ethereum of today, to ensure the security of billions of dollars of assets and the base layer for mass number of live applications.
$3 million is allocated for developer growth and awareness, with focus on Asia, where significant opportunity exists for Ethereum to grow.
This figure also includes more traditional efforts to grow awareness of Ethereum, through marketing efforts at both technical audiences and at users of Ethereum-based applications.
The amount will be used for developer education and on-boarding, organizing the yearly ethereum conference Devcon, and supporting regional ethereum community organizations.
Ethereum Foundation is a Swiss nonprofit organization, whose team of developers promote and support Ethereum platform.
