LS election results: Telangana's Nizamabad seat may spring surprise as K Kavitha trails

HYDERABAD: Nizamabad parliamentary seat may spring a surprise in the Lok Sabha elections. TRS candidate and chief minister K Chandrashekhar Rao's daughter K Kavitha is trailing by 70,875 votes to BJP's Arvind Dharmapuri, as per the latest trends.
Kavitha is seeking a re-election from the constituency. Nizamabad has the maximum number of candidates contesting. A total of 185 candidates are in the fray.
Nizamabad's seven segments will have two counting centres each in view of the record number of candidates.
Though the ruling TRS is leading in eight Lok Sabha seats, the BJP and the Congress too are gaining ground and are surging in four constituencies.
In 2014 general elections, the TRS had won 11 seats while Congress had bagged two.
The BJP, YSRCP, TDP and AIMIM had won one seat each.
