MUMBAI: Chief minister
Devendra Fadnavis said despite the drought, people have reposed faith in the
BJP-Sena in the state and believed that it is the only one that is making efforts to mitigate the impact of drought.
"Through the campaign we have always maintained that there is a silent vote in favour of Modi amongst the poor who were eager to vote for him and this can be seen in the results.
Modi would always say there is pro-incumbency and this can be seen in this election," he said.
Fadnavis said last time the BJP-Sena won 42 seats but this election they would go beyond these numbers in the state. "This vote will also give us sleepless nights as our responsibilities will now increase. We will now have to work harder to prove ourselves worthy of the love shown by the people," he said adding allies had worked hard along with the BJP and Uddhav Thackeray maintained excellent coordination with the BJP.
