A source from the set informed the daily, "John has been advised rest for the next 20 days to avoid aggravating the injury. His co-actors Anil Kapoor, Arshad Warsi, Pulkit Samrat, Ileana D’çruz and Kriti Kharbanda were also a part of the scene."

The cause for the accident is attributed to mistiming. Kumar Mangat, who is producing the film with Bhushan Kumar and son Abhishek Pathak, confirmed the news and said, "It was a simple shot, but mistiming caused the injury. Ninety per cent of our shoot has been completed in London and Leeds. This is the last schedule in Mumbai which we will have to reschedule now. After a week, we will decide when to resume depending on how quickly he recovers. We will wrap up the film by June end."

Interestingly, the team of Pagalpanti is already working on a sequel to the film even before the release of the film. Pagalpanti went on the floors in London in February and wrapped up the UK schedule in April.

John Abraham was last seen in Romeo Walter Akbar. The actor began his career as a producer with Ayushmann Khurrana's Vicky Donor and has produced seven films till now. Apart from Pagalpanti, the actor will also be seen in Batla House. It is a thriller based on the Batla House encounter case that took place on September 19, 2008. Directed by Nikhil Advani, the film also stars Mrunal Thakur.
