ITANAGAR: BJP is surging ahead to form the next government in Arunachal Pradesh as it bagged 25 seats in the assembly polls, the results of which were declared till 10.30 pm on Thursday.
The saffron party, which had earlier won three seats unopposed, was leading in 11 other seats with a huge margin at the time of filing this report. With this, the total tally of the party has shot up to 28.
So far, results of 36 seats have been declared. JD(U), which fought the assembly polls in Arunachal for the first time, has won six seats so far.
