Admissions can begin from May 24, 25 or 27: Gupta
Statement

Talking to The Indian Express, Rajeev Gupta, DU's admission coordinator, said, "We are deciding the date of release of the application form. It can be on May 24, 25 or 27 (Friday, Saturday or Sunday)."

Meanwhile, this year the admission process was constantly delayed in order to sync it with the class XII results.

So, this announcement will surely bring relief to aspirants.

DU is planning to involve NTA for entrance examination
NTA

While most of the courses' admissions in the University are subjected to cut-off lists, there are a few which need students to appear for an entrance examination.

Reportedly, DU is planning to involve the National Testing Agency (NTA), which also conducted the Joint Entrance Examination (Main) and National Eligibility cum Entrance Test UG 2019 [NEET (UG)] this year, for the same.

'Exam only for those courses for which entrance is compulsory'
Fact

Gupta confirmed the development, saying, "There is a proposal to ask NTA to conduct the DU entrance exams. The exam will only be for the courses for which entrance is already a mandate and no new courses are being brought under the ambit."
