Maharashtra election results: NCP's Satara winner has Rs 200 crore assets, Shiv Sena's Hingoli man only Rs 1.8 crore

Nationalist Congress Party's Udayanraje Bhosale from Satara became the richest winning candidate with total assets worth Rs 200 crore. Shiv Sena candidate from Hingoli, Hemant Patil, was the poorest winning candidate, with declared assets worth Rs 1.85 crore.

MUMBAI: Nationalist Congress Party's Udayanraje Bhosale from Satara became the richest winning candidate with total assets worth Rs 200 crore. Shiv Sena candidate from Hingoli, Hemant Patil, was the poorest winning candidate, with declared assets worth Rs 1.85 crore.
Bhosale defeated Sena's Narendra Patil by a robust margin of 1.24 lakh votes. Bhosale, who is the 13th descendent of Maratha warrior king Shivaji, will be a third-term MP.
As per his affidavit, he declared Rs 185 crore as immovable assets and Rs 13 crore as moveable assets.
NCP supremo Sharad Pawar's daughter, Supriya Sule, who is the winning candidate from Baramati, was the second richest candidate with declared assets of Rs 140 crore. Sule, who was trailing in the first few rounds, ended up defeating BJP candidate Kanchan Kool with a margin of 1.55 lakh votes.
BJP's Madha winner, Dhananjay Naik Nimbalkar, has assets of Rs 127 crore. Sena's Maval candidate Shrirang Barne declared Rs 102 crore as his worth. Sena's Mumbai South-Central seat winner Rahul Shewale is one of the poorest candidates, with an asset declaration of Rs 1.88 crore. Another Sena winner, Shrikant Shinde in Thane, declared Rs 1.96 crore assets, and Mumbai South candidate Arvind Sawant is worth Rs 2 crore.
