As the BJP-Sena-RPI combine swept all six Lok Sabha seats in Mumbai on Thursday, Congress candidates went into a shell, with the exception of Urmila Matondkar, the Mumbai North candidate, who visited the counting centre. South candidate Milind Deora and North Central’s Priya Dutt took to social media to issue statements.
Sanjay Nirupam from North West visited the counting centre early in the day and was then unavailable.
He too tweeted later in the day. NCP's Sanjay Dina Patil from North East did not visit the counting centre. Eknath Gaikwad from South Central did not even issue a statement.

Meanwhile, Matondkar tweeted early on Thursday: “On the form of EVM 17C from Magathane, the signatures and the machine numbers are different. A complaint has been filed with the Election Commission.”
