GOF seizes 24,000kg of Thai rice believed to have been smuggled into M'sia

KOTA BARU (Bernama): A total of 23,750kg of Thai rice worth RM76,000 was seized by the 9th General Operations Force Battalion (GOF9) in an operation near Kok Seraya, Chabang Empat in Tumpat Sunday (May 26).

GOF9 commanding officer Supt Ramly Poncho said they also detained four men aged between 31 and 55 believed to be involved in the rice smuggling activities from the neighbouring country.
