PATNA:
Munger University, which recently launched the university management information system (UMIS) at the postgraduate (PG) and undergraduate (UG) levels, has decided to select its logo, seal, monogram and flag through an open national-level competition.
“Interested contestants can send their designs at logo@mungeruniversity.ac.in by Wednesday evening,” Munger University vice-chancellor (VC) Ranjit Kumar Verma told this newspaper on Tuesday.
Winners selected by a panel of judges in four different categories — logo, seal, monogram and flag — will win a cash prize of Rs 50,000 each. The university will also hand over gift hampers and consolation prizes to at least 10 other participants.
Meanwhile, Purnea University VC Rajesh Singh, who had led a delegation of academics and scholars to the universities of the United States recently, returned from the trip.
Singh said, “We had talks with the faculty members of University of Colorado and University of Baltimore to set up a joint entrepreneurship cell and youth lab at Purnea University. it is important for two countries and universities to build an educational bridge to cater to the needs of students.”
