NAWADA: Mutilated bodies of three young men were recovered from a math (shrine) atop Borambagh hill under Kawakol police station in Nawada district on Wednesday.
All the deceased belonged to Jamui. The trio were kidnapped on May 24 and later their bodies were found by the locals on Wednesday. On getting information, police reached the spot and send the bodies for postmortem.
According to sources, three persons identified as Jitendra alias ‘Rinku’, Raj Kumar alias ‘Pallu’ and Viky Kumar Razak, all residents of Sikandra Bazaar of Jamui district were kidnapped by unidentified criminals from Kadahar canal area on Kadahar-Chandradeep highway. All the three victims were on their way to Sikandra from Nawada.
According to Kawakol PS SHO Manoj Kumar, one of the deceased, Viky, was earlier involved in illegal liquor business and had a rift with one of his business partner Guddu Yadav, a noted criminal from Sikandra. “Guddu is a named accused in a number of heinous crimes. Investigation is on,” the SHO said.
Two bodies found: Bodies of two youths were found near Pandaul village under Sherghati police station in Gaya district.
The duo were residents of Deo and Rafiganj areas of Aurangabad district. “The two youths (23-24) were first cousins. They were seen in their respective villages on Tuesday evening,” said Gaya SSP Rajiv Mishra.
“Prima facie it appeared to be related to a love affair. Investigations are on and nothing can be said with certainty at this stage. Family members of the deceased have named some villagers as accused. No arrest has been made so far and the bodies have been sent for postmortem examination,” Mishra said.
As per reports reaching the district headquarters, the two were killed with some sharp-edged weapon and multiple cut marks were visible on their bodies. Police sources said it was not clear whether the killing took place at the same place where the bodies were found or it took place somewhere else and the bodies were dumped there.
