Salman Khan on Katrina Kaif being his lucky charm: If this was true, Yuvvraaj would have worked
Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif have delivered many hits together, but the 53-year-old actor doesn't think that Katrina is his lucky charm.
It's not every day that we get to see Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif romancing on screen, but thanks to Ali Abbas Zafar, that will happen soon. Salman and Katrina, who are set to reunite for their sixth film together, have delivered superhits at the box office. Be it Partner or Tiger Zinda Hai, this on-screen jodi has always managed to pull audience to the theatres. However, Salman Khan refuses to call Katrina Kaif his lucky charm.
The 53-year-old actor, who is romancing Katrina in Bharat, was recently asked if he considers Katrina his lucky charm as most of their films have struck gold at the box office. To which, Salman replied, "If she was my lucky charm, then Yuvvraaj (2008) should also have worked (at the box office)."
"I think I am the lucky one here," Salman told Hindustan Times.
Till now, Salman and Katrina have worked together in five films. While four of their films - Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya?, Partner, Ek Tha Tiger and Tiger Zinda Hai worked wonders at the box office, their 2008 film Yuvvraaj tanked without a trace.
Salman's next with Katrina is hitting the screens in five days. When Salman was asked if he gets Friday jitters, the Bajrangi Bhaijaan actor said, "Yes, I do. Some show it, some don't. But everyone does. Everyone wants every film of theirs to be a bigger hit than the previous one."
Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, Bharat also stars Disha Patani and Tabu. An official remake of Korean film An Ode To My Father, Bharat depicts the history of India through the life of an ordinary man. The film is set to hit the screens on June 5.
