HYDERABAD:
Metta Suraj from
Srikakulam has topped the
Telangana State Law Common Entrance Test (
TS LAWCET), the results of which were announced on Sunday.
Suraj, who secured 112 marks, is the only student from
Andhra Pradesh in the top 10 list. Sushant Sreeram from Jangaon and Siliveru Laxmi Tanuja from Khammam secured second and third positions with 106 and 102 marks respectively in TS LAWCET (5 years).
Vikas Vashisth of Delhi bagged top rank in the test for the three-year LLB course by securing 90 marks.
Kethiri Dileep and P Saketh Srinivas from
Telangana stood second and third respectively. Vemuganti Tharani, a student from Hyderabad, came first in Telangana State Law & PG Law Common Entrance Test (TS PG LCET) with 82 marks. Second and third positions were secured by Vasireddy Vaishnavi and Dharmapuri Vagdevi who scored 81 marks.
The Council for Higher Education which had earlier planned to release the results in a day or two was forced to announce scores on Sunday after a technical snag put TS PGLCET marks on public domain. “Due to a technical error, the results got uploaded in the afternoon and many who took the test downloaded their rank cards. To avoid confusion, we decided to go ahead and release the results,” said GB Reddy, convener, TS LAWCET and TS PGLCET.
In total, 10, 539 out of 13, 141 candidates who appeared for the test qualified TS LAWCET (3-year); 3,130 candidates qualified the 5-year LLM course and 1,835 passed PGLCET.
