HYDERABAD: TPCC treasurer Gudur Narayana Reddy on Saturday urged chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao to “wake up from his slumber and start working to fulfil the promises TRS had made to people” during 2014 and 2018 assembly elections.
Stating that none of the major electoral promises Rao made in the party manifesto for the assembly polls had been implemented, the Congress leader said: “Taking refuge under the model code of conduct,
KCR enjoyed holiday from governance for nearly six months.” He said the chief minister, under the garb of religious pilgrimage, undertook political tours to
Odisha, West Bengal and
Tamil Nadu to pursue the idea of federal front.
“All this was done using money belonging to the public exchequer,” he alleged.
Narayana predicted that the bonhomie KCR and his Andhra Pradesh counterpart YS Jaganmohan Reddy shared would not last long. “KCR dumped Chandrababu Naidu and he will soon do so with Jagan too,” he claimed.
