Ten injured as bus rams into two trucks in Kurnool district
TIRUPATI: At least 10 people sustained injuries after the bus they were travelling in crashed into two trucks one after another before coming to halt near Kambalapadu circle in Kurnool district on Saturday.
Dhone police revealed that a Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) bus was on its way to Bengaluru from Hyderabad. It is believed that the driver of the bus dozed off for a moment, which led him to lose control over the vehicle.
When the bus arrived at Kambalapadu circle, two trucks ahead of him had slowed down to negotiate a speed-breaker.
Given that the bus had not slowed down at the point it first crashed into one truck. While the driver tried to regain control, it rammed into another truck before coming to a stop.
The front portion of the bus was severely damaged. Ten passengers, including the driver, were wounded owing to the impact.
After receiving information, Dhone police rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to a nearby government hospital. A case was registered.
