Rajasthanâs Nalin Khandelwal has obtained the All India Rank (AIR) 1 in NEET UG 2019 with 99.9999291 percentile and 701 marks. Among females, Madhuri Reddy from Telangana with 695 marks and all India Rank 7 has topped.

According to experts, this time the cut-off is likely to go higher than last year’s cut-off. Academic head, Gradeup, Navin C Joshi said that the cut-off for the general category may range between 125 to 135 score. âThe expected general cut off for NEET qualified would vary between 125-135 marks. But for admissions in colleges the cut off may vary 510-520 marks,â said Joshi.

NEET topper Nalin Khandelwal made a strategy to crack the NEET exam and focused on NCERT syllabus. He used to do multiple reading of a single topic and also prepared notes. Nalin said that he also practised JEE Mains previous year papers. est for the preparation of competitive examinations.
Nalin said that he always enjoyed studying and never studied when he was tired. He made daily targets during his exam-preparation and made sure he slept for 7 hours everyday, coaching institute Allen reported.

A total of 454 candidates from the PH category have passed the national-level medical entrance test. Sabhyata Singh Kushwaha from Uttar Pradesh has topped NEET 2019 in the PH category by obtaining 610 marks and a percentile score of 99.5834146.

The details and schedule of counselling would be available on the websites of Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Medical Education Directorates of States as applicable. The details of Medical Education Directorate of States are given in Appendix-IV of the Information Bulletin available on NEET website. The counselling would be conducted by the respective Counselling Authorities subject to prevailing rules and norms for admission in Medical Colleges/Dental Colleges under their ambit. The qualified candidates may please note that they have to further complete the formalities with the respective Counselling Authorities viz DGHS, Medical Education Directorates of States, etc. for admission to MBBS/BDS Courses.
Among states, a maximum of 206745 students appeared from Maharashtra for NEET 2019 of which 81171 qualified. From Tamil Nadu, as many as 123078 students sat with nearly 59,785 qualified the medical entrane examination. The registration was higher in Kerala where a total of 110206 applicants appeared of which 73385 passed. Last year 66.74 students passed from the state while this year, there is a minor decrease (66.59). From Karnataka 102735 students gave NEET 2019 with 64982 passing it.

For State quota and other seats falling under the ambit of States, candidates may apply to their domicile states and merit list as per State rules and based on All India Rank will be prepared by concerned Counselling Authorities. The general category candidates will be considered for the NEET 2019 merit list if they score a minimum of 50 per cent. For those belonging to reserved including SC and ST category, the minimum marks are 40 percentile and for PwD candidates it is 45 percentile.
The NEET is a three-hour long exam which includes three sections – physics, chemistry, and biology. Of the total 180 questions, 90 would be from biology and 45 each from physics and chemistry. The national level competitive exam is a pre-requisite for admission to medical and dental courses in India and abroad for Indian students.
In case two or more candidates score the same marks then the following process will be eligible to break a tie
First preference will be given to candidate scoring higher marks in Botony and Zoology
If the tie remains, preference will be given to students with higher marks in chemistry
If the marks continue to tally, the student with less number of incorrect answers will be considered first
As the last option to break the tie, students who are older in age will be given preference

Though earlier Higher Education secretary R. Subrahmanyam told indianexpress.com that the results will be declared today, but later he informed that the results will be declared tomorrow by 12 noon as scheduled. “The results of NEET examination will be declared today by 12 noon. The candidates can check the result through the website ntaneet.nic.in,” secretary said.
Over 1.77 lakh students from Maharashtra appeared for the central exam, the highest from any state in the country. Of these 40 per cent (over 70,000) have qualified. However, more number of students qualified from Uttar Pradesh and Kerala.
Four students from Gujarat have scored an under-100 rank in the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) exam, the results for which were declared on Monday. Close to 75,000 candidates had appeared for the exam, conducted by the CBSE for admission to the medical and dental colleges across 138 centres in the state.
Shlok Patel, who secured AIR 24 and stood first in Ahmedabad, scored 673 out of 720 in the exam. He said, “I didn’t have a smart phone so I could dedicate myself completely.” Patel aspires to become an orthodontist like his father, while his mother is a gynaecologist. Mohammedanas Mohammedyunus Memon, who came to Ahmedabad from Himmatnagar to pursue his higher education, scored 671 out of 720 in the exams. He secured an AIR of 26. Memon, who studied under the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB), believes the board does not matter as long as one is dedicated. Memon aspires to study medicine.
Nearly 100 Tamil medium NEET 2018 aspirants were given question papers in Hindi at a centre in Madurai, as per a PTI report. After a three-hour delay, the students were provided with the Tamil version. The incident happened at a matriculation school, a NEET centre, where a school official said when a question paper pack was opened and distribution began for four halls in the centre they came to know that they were in Hindi
As per reports, about 10,974 UG medical seats aspirants appeared the NEET examination 2018 in Kota, considered to be the hub for coaching institutes in Rajasthan. The National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) 2018 was held at 20 centres in the city.
Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Monday wrote to Union Human Resource Development Minister Prakash Javadekar alleging “gross irregularities” in the 2018 National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG). Mamata wrote Bengali students were not provided question papers in their language in time. “Many were provided with photocopies of question papers which bore the same candidate code for multiple students, and in many cases, the photocopies of questions were illegible. It is also reported that many students were forced to write answers using English or Hindi question papers,” she wrote in her letter to Javadekar, a copy of which is with The Indian Express.

Often due to anxiety and in pressure to complete the paper in time, students tend to rush through the questions, overlooking essential information. They should instead carefully go through the question paper. A thorough and meticulous reading of the questions can help them register the key information, thereby enabling them to focus on what is asked and ignore extraneous information and proceed directly to determining the correct answer. Special focus should be given on the words NOT, INCORRECT, CORRECT etc. while answering the question with best-suited option.

Punjab’s Navdeep Singh has scored the AIR 1 rank this year with a total score of 697 marks. This year, 611539 have qualified the medical entrance examination which was held on May 7. Of these, 266221 were male aspirants while 345313 are females. Eight transgenders sat for the exam out of which five have qualified the NEET 2017.

"A total number of 13,26,725 students had registered for the exam, of whom 5,80,648 are males and 7,46,076 females and one transgender. The exam was conducted at 2,225 centres from across the country," a senior CBSE official said. The board established 43 new centres this year to accommodate the higher number of applications, as reported by PTI.
