TMC man killed in Bankura
Kolkata: A Trinamool worker was killed and some people were injured in political clashes in north and south Bengal since Monday night.
Sahidul Islam Midda (27) was murdered, allegedly by BJP-backed goons, in Bankura’s Kotulpur on Mo-nday night. His
body was found in a field near his house early on Tuesday. Police said it bore stab wounds on the throat, back, hands and feet.

Kotulpur MLA and state minister Shyamal Santra said: “Sahidul worked as a booth-level polling agent at Chorkola from where we took a lead in the Lok Sabha polls. BJP-backed goons killed him. We want immediate arrest of the killers.”
Bishnupur BJP MP Saumitra Khan said: “This mu-rder is an outcome of factionalism within Trinamool.”
In Hooghly’s Pursura, panchayat upa pradhan Sheikh Badsa of Trinamool was stabbed near his home on Monday night. At Cooch Behar’s Mathabhanga, Trinamool anchal president of Premerdanga, Babla Ali, was allegedly beaten up by BJP supporters at a market.
