NTA NEET Result 2019 announced, result link now available

NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the results and score cards of the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (UG) results on Wednesday, June 5, 2019. Rajasthan's Nalin Khandelwal has topped the exam.
Candidates, who appeared for the examination can check their result from the official website - https://ntaneet.nic.in.
The NTA will now provide All India Rank to the Directorate General of Health Services, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India for counselling of 15% All India Quota Seats and all seats of Deemed Universities/Central Universities/ESIC & AFMC including Delhi University (DU), BHU & AMU and providing the result to the State Counselling Authorities and Admitting Institutions.
The NTA has declared the result based on the qualifying criteria provided by Medical/Dental Council of India and All India Rank based on the marks obtained in NEET (UG) - 2019.

States will prepare their own merit list based on All India Rank keeping in view the category of candidates.
Out of 1.23 lakh students, 59785 have qualified in NEET from Tamil Nadu. 48.57 % qualified this year. No student from state among the top 50 candidates. Shruthi K is the Tamil Nadu state topper with 57th rank.
Madhuri Reddy G from Telangana secured All India 7th rank in NEET 2019 examination. She is the only one from the Telangana state to feature in all india top 50 list.
Of the 2.16 lakh students who appeared in the test, 39.2% students qualified this year - similar to last year. Maharashtra had the highest numbers of test takers. Three students from the state made it to the top 50 ranks. Bhat sarthak raghvendra is the state topper at AIR 6. Girl topper from the state - Disha Agrawal stood at AIR 52.
The NEET 2019 was conducted on Sunday, May 5, 2019 from 02:00 p.m to 05:00 p.m. across India except Odisha, Karnataka and Siliguri. Nearly 13 lakh candidates appeared for the examination.
NEET exam for Odisha, Karnataka and Siliguri was held on May 20. In Odisha, the exam was postponed in the wake of Cyclone Fani which had left the State massively devastated, in Karnataka the exam was conducted for the students who had missed the examination due to a train delay, while Siliguri students appeared for the exam on May 20 as they did not get the question paper in their preferred language - Hindi.
The answer key for the NEET examination was released on May 29. Candidates were given the time up 11:50 on June 1, 2019 to raise the objection against the tentative official answer key.
A total of 15,19,375 students had registered for the exam held across the country. The exam consisted of one paper with 180 objective type questions from physics, chemistry and biology.
What is All India quota seats
15% seats surrendered by Government Medical/Dental Colleges run as per the approval of MCI/DCI are filled through the counselling conducted by DGHS are known as All India Quota seats. The merit list of the eligible and successful candidates who have opted for 15% All India quota seats will be prepared by the NTA on the basis of marks obtained in the NEET (UG) - 2019.
The list of successful candidates will be forwarded to the Directorate General of Health Services (Medical Examination Cell), Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India for the purpose of allotment of seats by Online Counselling to 15% All India Quota Seats.
Admissions to all seats of MBBS/BDS will be done through NEET (UG) -2019. Following are the seats available under different quotas:

• State Government Quota Seats
• Central Institutions/Universities/Deemed Universities
• State/Management/NRI Quota Seats in Private Medical / Dental Colleges or any Private University
• Central Pool Quota Seats
