Three die of suspected snakebite in Begusarai district

BEGUSARAI: Panic gripped Srinagar village under Sahebpur Kamal police station in Begusarai on Wednesday after three persons of a family died under mysterious circumstances on Tuesday night.
Sahebpur Kamal SHO Sudin Ram said, “While the family members and doctors suspect snakebite as the reason of their death, the exact cause can be ascertained only after the postmortem reports come.”
The deceased were identified as Dilkhush Yadav, Deorath Yadav and Aryan, all aged between 15 to 20 years.
Their relatives said that the incident happened while they were sleeping on the floor on Tuesday night. After midnight, they got up and complained of burning sensation in the entire body. A little later, all three started complaining of severe dizziness and nausea. As their condition deteriorated, they were rushed to the local PHC, where Dilkhush and Aryan were declared brought dead, while Deorath was referred to Begusarai Sadar hospital, where he also died during treatment on Wednesday morning.
Both Dilkhush and Deorath were sons of a marginal farmer Janardan Yadav and Aryan was their nephew (sister’s son).
The doctor attending Deorath at Begusari sadar hospital said that according to the family members he had complained of burning sensation, nausea, breathlessness, dizziness, which are symptoms of snakebite.
