Congress chief
Rahul Gandhi will arrive in Kerala on Friday for a three-day tour across
Wayanad Lok Sabha constituency to thank his voters. This will be his first visit in the constituency after he won the election with a record margin of 4.31 lakh votes.
Rahul will hold roadshows in Vandur, Nilambur and Ernad assembly segments of
Wayanad constituency on Friday afternoon. He will also hold roadshows in various towns of Wayanad district on Saturday.
Rahul's roadshow at Thiruvambadi assembly segment will be held on Sunday morning.
According to police, Rahul Gandhi will arrive at
Karippur International Airport at 2pm and will attend roadshow at Kalikavu town in Vandur assembly segment at 3pm. Congress workers will receive Rahul at Thiruvali, border of Wayanad assembly segment. After a 30-minute long programme at Kalikavu, the Congress president will proceed to Nilambur to take part in a roadshow. The roadshow in Nilambur assembly segment will start from Chanthakunnu at 4pm and it will culminate at Nilambur town. In Ernad assembly segment Rahul will attend two road shows at Edavanna and Areekode towns at 5pm and 6pm respectively. Meanwhile his road show at Thiruvambady has been rescheduled to be held at 9am on Sunday.
In Wayanad, Rahul will hold roadshows in six major towns across the district. The first will be held at Kalpetta town at 10.30am and the other roadshows would be held at Kambalkkad (11.45am), Panamaram (12.30pm), Mananthavadi (2pm), Pulpalli (3 pm) and Sultan Batheri (4.30pm).
It is learnt that the Congress president will also meet party leaders in Wayanad and Malappuram and he will also discuss different public issues of the constituency during discussions.
