A massive fire broke out at a chemical factory in Jagannath Ghat near Howrah Bridge in Kolkata around 2.30 am Saturday. However, there were no reports of injuries or casualties.
At least 20 fire tenders were deployed to control the blaze in the city’s business hub, the officials said.

Even after 10 hours, the firemen were busy trying to douse the flames.
West Bengal Fire Services Minister Sujit Bose visited the site and asked the fire personnel and officials to take necessary steps.
Reason of the fire and extent of damages were yet to be ascertained, the firemen said.
