Industries and IT department principal secretary Jayesh Ranjan has exhorted students to look into entrepreneurial opportunities rather than remaining job-seekers.

“Discipline and work ethics are very critical for success and students should inculcate discipline from the beginning to ensure success in their career path,” he said. Mr. Jayesh Ranjan was the chief guest at an event to welcome the ninth batch of PGDM students at NMIMS University on Sunday. He said that Telangana, being a new State, offered several advantages and Hyderabad being the hub of IT majors such as Amazon, Apple, Facebook, Google and Microsoft, enabled students to compete.

Appreciating the NMIMS management for achieving significant progress in infrastructure and intellectual vibrancy around Jadcherla in Mahabubnagar district, he wanted students to look into the needs of the district and assured that the State Government and NMIMS management would contribute for developmental activities through CSR. He lauded the management for its “WeCare” initiative.

NMIMS campus director Prithvi Raj elaborated the decades of service by the university. A total of 120 students joined the PGDM course this year and the varsity could achieve female to male ratio of 32:68 consistently over the years.
