3 of family including 2 kids killed in Krishnagiri road mishap

Meanwhile, a goods-laden truck rammed at the rear side of the second bus that ran over three of a family.

Krishnagiri: Three persons including two minor children of a family were killed on the spot in a multiple vehicles collision involving a truck and two-state owned TNSTC buses in wee hours of Monday in Krishnagiri district.

Police said a Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (TNSTC) bus heading towards Thiruvanamalai from Hosur was stopped at Sundagiri, near Shoolagiri, on Chennai-Bengaluru national highway in Krishnagiri.

The bus was stopped at that spot as the front wheels got detached from its axle after the driver lost control of the vehicle and rammed against the center median of the road.

Another TNSTC bus with passengers travelling from Bengaluru to Salem was stopped by the driver of the first bus, who planned to move the stranded people from that spot.

Meanwhile, a goods-laden truck rammed at the rear side of the second bus that ran over three of a family. Their names were given as Chaithani (28), her son Mohammed Shathil (14) and his younger sister Nisha (10).

Chaithani of Agaram Pallipattu village in Thandrampattu taluk of Thiruvanamalai district was working as construction worker in Bengaluru of Karnataka.

They were returning to their native place to admit her children in the village school, but all three died on the spot and in front of Chaithani’s husband Kamal Basha (35) and her mother Khalidabi (50).

The dead bodies of the deceased people were handed over to their relatives after the post-mortem was completed here in the Hosur government hospital. A police case was registered and further investigation is on.
