On the seventh day of the
Rangotsav drama festival play Agarbatti in which twenty artists from
Jabalpur were present. Directed by
Swati Dubey this play shows the widows of the people who were killed in the 1981’s Behmai Massacre case by bandit queen
Phoolan Devi. The play shows how the widows are running their houses by making incense sticks. What the ladies are doing and how their lives have turned out post the massacre is what keeps the audience at the edge of their seats.
The ladies live a life without colours and all they can do it wait for a miracle which might change their lives.
