DCP (outer-north) Gaurav Sharma said that the three men — Lakshay Parashar, Nitin Yadav and Jatin —were arrested from Bawana by a team led by inspector Dharam Dev while they were on their way to kill another person.

On May 31, Parashar and his gang members went to Bawana in a stolen grey Maruti Baleno and shot businessman Anil Verma thrice outside his hardware store in the busy market around 6pm. Verma was killed due to rivalry with an absconding gang member, Ibrahim.
The men then fled towards Narela Industrial Area. Around 6.30pm, they spotted a white Honda Amaze parked along the road in which software engineer Vikas Kashyap was talking on the phone. Yadav, a final year BCom student, shot Kashyap in the chest, dragged him out of the car and drove away with it. They abandoned the Baleno and went to Haryana.
The gang was formed recently after Parashar, who is studying law, got into a fight with another student. He got into touch with some local criminals and in one of the meetings met Yadav and Jatin.

Their crime run started with an armed carjacking on April 24 in Mundka. They used this car for other crimes. Two days later, they went to Rahod village in Haryana and fired multiple rounds outside a restaurant to force the owner to cough up Rs 25 lakh as protection money. On May 6, the gang committed an armed robbery of Rs 4.5 lakh in Bawana. The next day, they went to Sampla in Haryana and shot dead one Mukesh, who reportedly had enmity with Jatin.
After staying low for a week, they snatched a vehicle at gunpoint in Rohini Sector 34 on May 15. They took this vehicle to Rohini Sector 11 and critically injured their rival, Manish, after shooting 16 rounds at him in a busy locality. On June 3, they critically injured another rival, Vishal, in Ghogha village in Narela.
All three men have been arrested for the first time. Parashar is the son of an advocate, while Yadav’s father runs a tours and travel agency. Jatin, a native of Sampla, used to help his father at their dhaba.
