UP: Murdered sadhu’s body found in Mathura

AGRA: A partially mutilated body of an unidentified middle aged sadhu, who was apparently strangled to death and his face burnt, was found in Mathura’s Maant area in UP on Thursday.
According to police, prima facie the sadhu had been strangled with a wire that was found tied around his neck. To conceal his identity, the deceased’s face was also burnt by some chemical substance.The body has been sent for post-mortem.
Circle officer Vijay Shankar Misra said that besides an electric cable that was tied to the neck, a petrol bottle was also found near the body. He said, further investigations are on.
Last Thursday, bodies of three unidentified persons, including a woman, who were murdered, were found at various places in Mathura. While a youth’s beheaded body was found on Bharatpur Road near Muresi Rampur area, the two other bodies, including that of a woman were found in Raya and Kosikala area respectively.
